The RD28 is a six-cylinder diesel engine produced by Nissan between 1987 and 2001. It was widely used in Nissan trucks and SUVs, including the Pathfinder, Patrol, and Terrano. The engine displaces 2.8 liters and features an overhead camshaft, direct injection, and a turbocharger. It produces around 115-158 horsepower, depending on the variant. The engine was known for its durability and reliability, and it was highly regarded for its off-road capabilities. It was eventually replaced by the ZD30 engine in Nissan's lineup.
